1. CMU CS Academy - Art Using Python

Through CMU CS Academy, I could learn how to use my coding skills to make beautiful artwork. These are some of the artworks I created using Python.

Nature Scene with Vehicle

This artwork was inspired by Irworobongdo(일월오봉도, 日月五峯圖), the painting of the Sun, Moon, and the Five Peaks.

The Sun symbolises the King, and the Moon symbolises the Queen. This painting was the painting of the King, always placed behind the King's chair.

Yeon(연, 輦), a type of Korean traditional transport called Gama(가마), was used by the King to travel far from the palace. People lifted Yeon using the polls on the side to move it.

Country Flag

This artwork is the national flag of the Republic of Korea, my home country.

The white background symbolises the brightness, purity, and peace of our country and its people.

The Taeguek emblem in the middle symbolises the harmony of yin(blue) and yang(red).

Geon, Gon, Gam, and Ri are the names of the four symbols in the corners.

• Geon: Located at the top-left corner, this symbol is called geon(건, 乾卦). It represents sky.
• Gon: Located at the bottom-right corner, this symbol is called gon(곤, 坤卦). It represents earth.
• Gam: Located at the top-right corner, this symbol is called gam(감, 坎卦). It represents water.
• Ri: Located at the bottom-left corner, this symbol is called ri(이, 離卦). It represents fire.

1. Image Using Generative AI

I learned how to use generative AI to create images. The assignment was to create an image that represents my future major in university using a generative AI called Craiyon. I additionally used ****DALL-E for comparison.

Prompt used for both models: Illustrate a scene of a modern grey laptop placed on a wooden desk with a black-steel-frame, open and being used for coding for iOS development. The screen displays lines of code against a dark-themed editor, with appropriate syntax highlighting. The room is located in a city. The surrounding environment features a natural light coming through a nearby window, showing the cityscape. Behind the tables lies a monstera. Use a mixture of watercolour and realistic photography style, with not too vivid colouring, in the style of Monet. Use bokeh shot in the position of middle long shot.
